SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modified elastomeric polymer. Modified elastomeric polymer is prepared by bringing the living anionic elastomeric polymer into contact with a particular terminal end chain modifying compound, wherein the living anionic elastomeric polymer comprises at least 75 and less than 99 % by weight of butadiene units and more than 1 and less than 25 % by weight of styrenic units and is characterized by a vinyl bond content of from 2 to less than 10 % based on the polybutadiene fraction of the living anionic elastomeric polymer.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the tire grip when using a vulcanized modified polymer with a wet road surface, improve resistance to abrasion, improve rolling resistance.
