FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely, the use of an air-jet engine or propulsion device under water. To use an air-jet engine or propeller under water, the inlet of an air engine or propulsion device is connected to a predominantly vertical air supply channel, which is located on the surface boat. Said engine or propulsion device is placed under water and air is supplied through the predominantly vertical channel, due to its pressure water is forced out from the inside of the body of the said engine or propulsion device. Work of the said engine or propulsion device is started using an alternative ignition system, after the stop of the said engine or propeller, air is no more supplied through the predominantly vertical channel and the said engine or propulsion device is filled with water.

EFFECT: possibility of operation of an air-jet engine under water to move surface boat is ensured.
