FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engineering, namely to the suspension assemblies of caterpillar vehicles, and can find application in the development of various types of snowmobile caterpillar vehicles. Suspension of the snowmobile caterpillar contains an endless belt of caterpillars, supporting and supporting frames, tension rollers. Support frame is composed of front and rear independent parts, provided with wide skis, the supporting frames are hinged and balanced at the ends of a pair of semi-elliptical springs arranged longitudinally and rigidly fixed to the transverse frame of the snowmobile frame. Snowmobile caterpillar is made up of two narrow endless belts made of frost resistant elastomeric material, which are connected to each other by means of a series of transverse bars placed by a periodic step perpendicular to the belts and creating in aggregate a lattice structure. In addition, lateral limit stops are fixed at the ends of the rungs.
EFFECT: improved snowmobile patency on low-lying virgin snow cover of any depth is provided, as well as simplified suspension and caterpillar construction and increased reliability during field operation.
