FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in industrial catalysis. Disclosed are cobalt based catalyst for the synthesis of Fischer-Tropsch, method for its preparation and its use. Catalyst consists of the Co active component and the Al2O3-SiO2 composite gel as the carrier, where, based on the catalyst total amount, the Co content is 2–10 wt%, and the Al2O3-SiO2 composite gel content is 90–98 %; catalyst specific surface is 250–750 m2/g, the average pores size is 9–28.6 nm; and the pores volume is 2.75–4.23 ml/g. Catalyst preparation method includes: (1) Al2O3 sol preparation; (2) SiO2 sol preparation, and (3) Co/Al2O3-SiO2 composite air-gel preparation. Due to the three-dimensional pores system catalyst has the high specific surface area and large pores size; active components are homogeneously distributed in the pores, which not only prevents the metal particles agglomeration, but also facilitates the reactants and products diffusion, so that the catalyst can be very successfully used for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
EFFECT: high dispersity of the active components and high selectivity of the catalyst.
