SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a door frame assembly for a microwave oven and a method and apparatus for controlling a door frame assembly, and in general relates to “smart home”. Door frame assembly comprises door leaf (110) and door frame (120) associated with the door leaf with a door hinge, wherein the door leaf comprises at least one region (111) opposite door frame (120), first region of the door leaf opposite the door frame is provided with a first type magnet, and second region (121) of the door frame opposite the first region is provided with a second type magnet. Door frame assembly further comprises a control chip and a distance sensor connected to each other.
EFFECT: invention solves the problem where the push/pull force applied by the user is insufficient to move the door and the user can not push or pull the door of a microwave oven and, thus, is unable to open/close the door in the usual way and reduces the force required for pushing or pulling the door.
