SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for transmitting information over a hydraulic communication channel. In particular, there is provided a downhole fluid telemetry node comprising: a plurality of tubular members configured to pass within a wellbore and forming a through hole for transmitting a fluid therethrough; telemetry device disposed within the wall of one of the plurality of tubular members and comprising a secondary flow path having an inlet and an outlet. Each of the inlets and outlets is fluidly connected to a secondary flow path and a through hole. Telemetry device further comprises a valve member configured to interact with a valve seat located at an upper end of the secondary flow path; and a flow restrictor disposed within the through-hole and axially disposed between the inlet and outlet of the secondary flow path. Valve member is configured to actuate it to control the flow of fluid through the secondary flow path to selectively generate a fluid pressure pulse. Also disclosed is a telemetry device comprising said borehole assembly and a telemetry method.
EFFECT: increased reliability of information transfer by eliminating potential leakage pathways in the pressure pulse generation device.
