SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory equipment, in particular to devices used to determine the physico-chemical properties of fine-dispersed fire-extinguishing compositions. In an apparatus for determining the fire extinguishing concentration when fine particles are fed into an ascending jet consisting of a compressor, a receiver, a rotameter, a glass casing, a burner, a vessel for adjusting the level of fuel in the burner, the supply of the composition of the composition in the ascending jet is made with the help of an electromagnetic pneumatic distributor, and the time for lifting the composition is determined by frame-by-frame video recording using a high-speed video camera.

EFFECT: invention provides reliability and repeatability of experimental results by definition of the minimum fire-extinguishing concentration of fine-dispersed composition in the volume to increase the quenching efficiency when using fire-extinguishing fine dispersions.
