SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of creating laboratory equipment and instruments used to determine the physical and chemical properties of fine extinguishing agents. The device for determining the fire extinguishing concentration when feeding fine compositions from above under pressure consists of a compressor, a valve, an electromagnetic pneumatic valve, a rotameter, a metal cuvette with a powder aerator, a powder spray, a metal tray, a high-speed video camera. The device works in accordance with the principle of feeding a finely dispersed composition from above under pressure with taking account of the action of the convective flame column, which brings the experimental conditions closer to real fire conditions.
EFFECT: ensuring reliability and repeatability of the results of experiments to determine the fire-extinguishing concentration of the fine-dispersed composition in the volume, taking account of the convective flame column to increase the extinguishing efficiency when using fire extinguishing powders in fire conditions.
