SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of music theory and can be applied when it is studied by users. Melodic compass includes an unchangeable base, to which twelve elements are applied, containing signs for the symbols of the sounds of the chromatic scale, arranged in a chromatic order, unchangeable base is made with the possibility of installing one of the changeable modal bases with respect to it, on the front surface of which the elements containing letter names of the modal functions and the numerical designations of the degrees are marked, and the elements applied to a changeable modal base, and the elements applied to the unchangeable base do not overlap one another, and the unchangeable base is also configured to be mounted with respect to one of the changeable circuit bases, on the front surface of which the elements that designate the scheme of intervals or schemes of the modal-functional relations of sounds or schemes of chords are applied, wherein said elements do not overlap the elements applied to the unchangeable base, herewith the installed changeable circuit base is configured to move with respect to the unchangeable base, and the changeable base is fixed or movable, and, in case the unchangeable base is fixed, the changeable modal base is configured to move with respect to the unchangeable base, and in case the unchangeable base is movable, the changeable platform base is fixed and the unchangeable base is configured to move with respect to the changeable modal platform.
EFFECT: technical results of the claimed group of inventions are to increase the functionality and expand the device applications and the method of its use, while reducing the time for the implementation of various types of musical activity, for example, the composition of the modal-melodic sequence, its musical analysis and its selection by ear, and also increase of the training efficiency of the modal-melodic part of functional harmony and its interaction with the modal-harmonic part of functional harmony in the musical process.
