FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: vibrations are damped in a vibration protection system with two degrees of freedom, containing motion transformation mechanisms. Dynamic effect of "blocking" of external forces is formed. Device for implementing the method comprises elastic supports in the form of springs. Lever mechanisms are installed on each of the supports of the protected object and have additional loads on the free ends that are movable on the arm of the lever to enable the reaching of certain values of the frequency of "blocking" of the external force in the two supports. Device for automatic maintenance of the dynamic vibration damping mode of the object consists of sensors for recording the change in the movement coordinates of the protected object and the base, information processing units, energy sources and servo drives in the form of screw mechanisms. Automatic control provides coordinated adjusting movements to change the position of the loads on the lever arms via servo drives.

EFFECT: damping of vibrations is simultaneously achieved in two coordinates.
