FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method provides three-fold treatment of strawberry plants with aqueous solutions of biological preparations during cultivation, with an interval of 7-10 days: at peduncles extension; during mass flowering; at the end of flowering, at the beginning of berries formation. At that, 0.1% solution of Phytosporin-M, or 0.05% Alirin-B solution or 0.03% solution of Glycopladin-G, or a 1.5% solution of water-soluble low molecular weight chitosan is used as biological preparations. The treatment is carried out by spraying the strawberry plants with a working solution, at a rate of 500 l/ha. The harvested strawberries are treated with a 1% aqueous solution of Chitosan by immersing the berries in a solution for 3-5 minutes, after which the rest of the solution is allowed to drain. The berries are cooled and stored at a temperature of 0 to +1°C.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the incidence of berries infection with gray rot when growing and storing, and to increase the shelf life of berries to 10 days or more, while preserving their commercial quality.
