FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas producing industry, in particular to the oil and gas wells construction. Plugging material contains the reactive magnesium oxide fine powder, sodium tripolyphosphate, superphosphate double, magnesium chloride, aluminum oxychloride or ferric chloride 6-hydrous or aluminum sulfate and water with the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: reactive magnesium oxide finely dispersed powder (specific surface is more than 1,000 m²/kg and citric number is less than 22 seconds) – 37.67–46.98; sodium tripolyphosphate – 1.41–1.60; double superphosphate (specific surface is more than 280 m²/kg) – 0.94–1.13; magnesium chloride – 14.26–17.72; trivalent metal salt – 0.47–1.13; water is the rest.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the chemically active magnesium oxide fine powder based magnesian plugging material efficiency, which solution is characterized by the rheological properties low values, high sedimentation stability and the water separation (brine separation) absence even in inclined and horizontal boreholes, and formed during its curing practically impermeable expanding cement stone has high strength and forms tight contact with the borehole walls.
