FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and is a method for treating acute lactation mastitis in sows, which consists in applying a composition consisting of dimexide in an amount of 1 %, a liquid soap in an amount of 85–95 % and a staphylococcal toxoid – the balance with a thin layer on the skin of the emptied glandula mammaria of the sow.
EFFECT: invention provides increased effectiveness of treatment of acute lactation mastitis in sows and decreased mortality of newborn pigs in industrial production, due to the use of preparations having directed anti-staphylococcal action.
