FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing high-speed aircrafts with a propulsion system with an air-jet engine and can be used to determine the power of a ramjet engine in flight tests. This invention’s essence lies in the fact that when determining the power of a ramjet engine in flight tests, the performance of the engine in flying conditions and at a given angle of attack, altitude and flight speed is simulated and the aerodynamic resistance of the flow path of the internal circuit of the engine integrated into the fuselage of the aircraft, is determined, and based on the results of the air flow velocity parameters measured in flight, the magnitude of the resultant force caused by the static pressure in the internal contour of the flow path of the engine is determined. Further, the power of the engine is defined as the difference in the projections of the resultant static pressure force and the force of the aerodynamic resistance of the flow path to the longitudinal axis of the combustion chamber.
EFFECT: technical result consists in determining the value of the internal forces of pressure and resistance of the ramjet engine integrated with the fuselage using the parameters measured in flight and the resistance values of the internal contour of the flow path according to the results of bench tests.
