SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in treatment of the oral mucosa. Device for treating inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa contains a working part, which is made of dental impression material and is made in the form of a mold on one side of which the impression of a patient's teeth is modeled, and on the other – a depression. Height of the impression corresponds to the distance from the transitional fold of the upper teeth to the transitional fold of the patient's lower teeth, the front boundary of the impression is the projection of the angle of the mouth (canine) posterior border – distal surface of 8 or 7 molars. Inner and outer edges of the impression are streamlined. In cavity of impression, put a cotton disc or gauze napkin of round shape, impregnated with herbal tea, or with a paste of ointment or gel. Then mold is placed on the cheek of the patient, while the groove with the medicine is located opposite the focus of the lesion of the mucosa. Depending on stage of healing, device containing the drug is placed in the oral cavity for 15 to 40 minutes, after which it is removed, washed and stored until the next treatment.

EFFECT: device allows to shorten treatment period for inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa by one and a half to two times due to the possibility of creating a drug depot and the isolating effect of the affected area of the mucosa from the aggressive effects of saliva and teeth.
