FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related specifically to dentistry and relates to a method for the manufacture and use of a film for the treatment of the mucous membrane of the lips. The protective agent for the treatment of the mucous membrane of the lips is made in the form of a film, silicone is used, while the paste and the silicone catalyst are mixed in a ratio of 1:1, stirred until bubbles form at a temperature of 20-22 degrees, then poured into a mould with a layer 0.3 mm thick, after hardening, the film is removed from the mould, perforated and modelled according to the shape and size of the inflammatory focus on the lips.
EFFECT: invention provides increased efficiency and reduced treatment time by isolating the damaged area of the lip mucosa from saliva, traumatic effects of environmental factors, providing air access to the damaged area and outflow of exudate, reducing pain and achieving stable remission of the disease.
