SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a washing machine comprising a drum which is designed with possibility of being driven by a motor, an annular channel provided on a drum in a circumferential direction, and a plurality of balls configured to roll along the channel and arranged in the channel, wherein the plurality of balls includes magnetic balls and non-magnetic balls that can be attracted by a magnetic force. Due to the presence of the force of attraction of the magnetic balls several balls attract, forming a massive body. Inside the massive body there are no collisions, or a small number of balls on the boundaries of this body collide with each other only at instants of unstable rotation of the drum. This makes it possible to effectively reduce the noise produced when the balls collide. In addition, the invention relates to a balancing ring for use in a washing machine.
