FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat absorbing and heat-radiant steel sheet and an element made of this sheet, which can be used as material for the housing of a heat source device, such as an electronic or electrical component. Heat-absorbing and heat-radiating steel sheet comprises a steel sheet and a layer of a melt-deposited coating located on the surface of the steel sheet. Heat-absorbing and heat-radiating steel sheet has a radiation coefficient of 0.4 or more. Layer of the coating applied by the immersion in the melt contains zinc, 1.0–22.0 wt.% of aluminium, 1.3–10.0 wt.% of magnesium and an oxide and/or hydroxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of zinc, aluminum and magnesium, said oxides and hydroxides having a lattice defect and being lamellarly distributed. Area of the oxide and hydroxide section in the field of view of 20 mm in the cross-section of the heat absorbing and heat-radiating steel sheet is 0.01 mm2 or more, and the ratio of the area of the oxide and hydroxide portion to the area of the layer of the coating deposited in the melt in the cross section is 95 % or less.
EFFECT: steel sheet and the element made of it are provided with heat absorbing and heat-emitting properties.
