FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: hot-dip zinc alloy coated steel sheet comprises a steel sheet and a coating layer deposited by dipping in a zinc alloy melt and placed on the surface of the steel sheet, where the entire surface of the layer applied by dipping in a zinc alloy melt satisfies the following expression: S[Zn(OH)2]/(S[Zn(OH)2]+S[Zn])×100≤40, in which S [Zn] is the area which is shown by peak relevant to metal Zn and centered at about 1022 eV in the intensity profile while analysing the surface of the layer applied by dipping in a zinc alloy melt by XPS method, and S[Zn(OH)2] is the area which is shown by the peak relevant to Zn(OH)2 centered at about 1023 eV in the intensity profile while analysingthe surface of the layer applied by dipping in a zinc alloy melt by XPS method.
EFFECT: excellent resistance to blackening.
