FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: use in the electric power industry to determine the inertial constant of synchronous machines (SM) in real time mode based on measurements of electrical parameters and machine operation parameters in electric power systems of alternating current (ACS). System for determining the inertial constant of a synchronous machine contains a digital registrar of currents and voltages installed at a monitored point in the power system; complex of computing means, including a unit for calculating the instantaneous parameters of the electrical regime, which performs the calculation of the instantaneous parameters of the electric regime, a data accumulation unit carrying out the accumulation of successive values of electric parameters for the calculation of data, block for calculating the inertial constant, which calculates the inertial constant of the SM based on the equation of motion of the SM, and its output is connected to the input of the output recorder displaying the values of the calculated SM inertia and having a human-machine interface for data transfer to other systems.
EFFECT: real-time determination of the currents and voltages at the controlled point of the ACS (the point of attachment of the SM to the station buses) by the inertial constant SM to refine the parameters of the SM model used in other systems and calculations.
