FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for evaluation of correct functioning of automatic excitation regulators (AER) as part of brushless excitation systems of generators of electrical power systems (EPS). A monitoring system of the above AER includes the following: sensors of operating conditions of generators and brushless exciters; measuring transducers for formation of digital operating conditions of controlled generators, which are connected to a common timing system; a functioning analyser of AER as part of brushless excitation systems of generators of a power plant with software to perform algorithmic processing of the obtained data; an output recorder of EPS, to which signals on state of the above AER are supplied; discrete signal sensors of normal automation of the excitation system of controlled generators and a local network for connection of measuring transducers and discrete signal sensors to the functioning analyser of the above AER.
EFFECT: providing control of operability of AER devices as part of brushless excitation systems at control of EPS modes as per data of current recording of parameters of the operating mode of generators and brushless exciters in different operating modes.
