FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to area of passive optical location and can be used to detect optical impulse signals against background of powerful background illumination and to determine time of receipt of optical signal against background of interference. Device comprises amplifier, first filter executed by low frequency, controllable switch, threshold signal unit, inverter, first and second detectors executed in peak positive and negative polarity, photodiode, single-oscillator, decision device, two comparators, second filter in form of dual differentiator, with aforementioned means being interconnected in a certain way.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increase in accuracy of determining time of signal that passed priori unknown propagation path and recorded at large background illumination levels.
