FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition for use as an activator of anionic polymerisation of lactam comprising: a) N-acetylcaprolactam
and b) at least one hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI)-based polyisocyanate and/or caprolactam-blocked polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), selected from the group of HDI biuret, wherein the HDI biuret is a compound of formula (I):
Method for preparing such a composition is also described.
EFFECT: technical result is preparation of an activator composition for anionic polymerisation of lactam, having high reactivity and providing a moulding composition for manufacturing parts made of cast polyamide, which does not contain an additional solvent and, despite this, is in a liquid form and is easily dispensed.
