FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a deodorant cosmetic composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, a lipophilic salicylic acid derivative or a salt thereof, an antiperspirant salt or an aluminium complex and a sequestrant, selected from salts of amino acid-N,N-diacetic acid. Disclosed composition can be in the form of an emulsion comprising one aqueous phase and one fatty phase, in particular oil-in-water emulsions. Present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a composition in the form of an emulsion, comprising the addition of an amino acid-N,N-diacetic acid salt in the presence of an antiperspirant aluminium salt or complexes before mixing with the amino acid-N,N-diacetic salt and before emulsifying said aqueous phase and said fatty phase.
EFFECT: invention also relates to a method for cosmetic treatment of sweating and body odours by applying an effective amount of the disclosed composition to the skin surface.
