SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the cosmetic industry and includes the composition as a deodorant or antiperspirant in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium: a continuous aqueous phase; an oily phase dispersed in said aqueous phase and containing a hydrocarbon-based oil; a mixture consisting of: one or more nonionic surfactant comprising a saturated linear hydrocarbon-based chain containing at least 16 carbon atoms, said surfactant is not a fatty alcohol, and one or more fatty alcohol chosen from: a pure fatty alcohol containing more than 16 carbon atoms, or a mixture consisting exclusively of fatty alcohols containing 16 or more carbon atoms, and containing at least 50 % by weight of fatty alcohol containing 18 or more atoms relative to the weight of the fatty alcohol mixture; and one or more wax that is candellia wax and/or beeswax in an amount of 1 to 10 % by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. Also, the composition contains one or more water-soluble polysaccharide and has a hardness measured at a temperature of 32 °C and humidity of 40 %, ranging from 20 kPa to 200 kPa. Further, the inventions consist of cosmetic methods for caring for human keratin materials and treating human perspiration using the composition described previously.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to obtain a solid, soft consistency cosmetic composition that is stable during storage, has good cosmetic properties, such as a feeling of softness and quick drying, not wet freshness, no feeling of stickiness and grease, and good efficiency when applied.
