FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of springs from steel wire by hot deformation. Method comprises preparation of steel wire, mechanical deformation and cooling the steel wire, cutting to measuring rods, heating of the measuring rods, hot deformation of rods and improvement of rods deformed in the hot state to produce a spring. Wherein, the improvement step includes abruptly cooling of the rods to the first cooling temperature, reheating thus tempered spring to a first tempering temperature, cooling the reheated spring or rod to a second cooling temperature. Wherein the cooling of the steel wire after mechanical deformation is carried out to a temperature below the minimum recrystallization temperature in such a way that at least a partially ferritic perlite structure is formed in the steel wire.
EFFECT: providing the production of springs of increased viscosity, working under conditions of increased stress and having a reduced weight and a longer service life.
