FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of thin pyrotechnic heaters (pyro-heaters) for thermal (heating) and pyrotechnic current sources. Before use, asbestos is calcined at a temperature of 390 to 450 °C no less than 2 hours, stand at room temperature, and then asbestos fiber opening by grinding and combing to fibers in an aqueous suspension with a concentration of 0.2–3 % after pre-holding it in water for at least 30 minutes, after which the dewater is dried and dried. For the production of pyro-heaters, a part of the harvested asbestos is dispersed in water, with stirring, the components of the pyro-heaters are introduced, the suspension is homogenized, plates are formed from the slurry by casting into a mold, water is removed and dried.

EFFECT: method provides high stability of the main technical characteristics of pyro-heaters and galvanic cells on their basis.
