SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions and methods for treating a subterranean formation. Slurry of the crosslinking agent for the well maintenance fluid includes an emulsion comprising an aqueous based fluid and an oil, emulsifier and a boron-containing compound in an amount of from about 10 % to about 50 %. Method for treating a subterranean formation, comprising providing an aqueous base fluid comprising a polysaccharide, mixing the base water-based fluid with the above-mentioned suspension of the crosslinking agent and injecting liquid to service the subterranean wells into the subterranean formation. Crosslinking agent slurry consists essentially of an emulsion consisting essentially of a water-based liquid, an oil, an emulsifier and a boron-containing compound. Invention is developed in dependent items of the formula.
EFFECT: increased processing efficiency.
