SUBSTANCE: gas turbine engine washing method during its operation includes the washing stage, which includes the liquid washing agent spraying towards the engine compressor inlet; at that, the sprayed liquid washing agent mass flow rate is set so, that the liquid to gas ratio at the compressor inlet is greater than 1 % but less than 5 % relative to the compressor design mass flow rate; wherein the washing stage includes the first sub-stage, during which the liquid washing agent flow rate is gradually increased and the second sub-stage, during which the liquid washing agent flow rate is kept constant. Also disclosed is the gas turbine engine comprising control unit for this method implementation.
EFFECT: increase in the gas turbine engine washing efficiency.
