FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technology and the production of high-voltage switches. Technical result is achieved by means of an automatic arc chute which includes movable arc contact (4), insulating cylinder (8), stationary contact base (1) provided at the upper end of insulating cylinder (8) and used for mounting upper arc contact (9) and upper arcing ring (7), base (6) of the movable arc contact, provided at the lower end of insulating cylinder (8) and used to install lower arcing ring (5) and lower arc contact (3). Inside insulating cylinder (8), thermal expansion chamber (2) is formed. At the ends of insulating cylinder (8), the gaps of the arc chute are formed. Movable arc contact (4) passes through insulating cylinder (8), upper arcing ring (7) and lower arcing ring (5), in the on position, in contact with upper arc contact (9) and lower arc contact (3). With respect to upper arcing ring (7) and lower arcing ring (5) located at the ends of the gap, upper arc discharge surface (121) and arc discharge lower surface (122) are formed on adjacent surfaces in the direction of the gap. Upper arc discharge surface (121) and/or lower surface (122) of the arc discharge in the radial direction are provided with a plurality of penetrating grooves. Groove front parts (101) of the penetrating grooves are connected to the inner rings of arcing rings (5, 7). Ends (102) of the groove of the penetrating grooves are not connected to the outer annular edges of arcing rings (5, 7). Straight connecting lines between groove front parts (101) and groove ends (102) do not pass through the centers of arcing rings (5, 7), and the directions of the inclination of the straight connecting lines are unchanged.
EFFECT: increased effect of thermal expansion.
