SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket engineering. In the method for controlling the target's defeat by a cruise missile (CM) after CM launching and flying along individual trajectory, selecting the target and approaching the target, removing the stages of protecting the combat equipment at a given distance to the target, determined from the conditions of the imminent defeat of the target, a data array is formed according to a given algorithm in the CM onboard equipment. Array contains the CM number, the type of the warhead, the target number in the target order and the target coordinates, the distance to the target at the time the data array is completed. It is possible to transfer the generated data array to the CM carrier. In addition, it may be possible to transmit a data set before the command to blast the warhead with a predetermined time interval, including at least one repeater.

EFFECT: ensuring the autonomy and speed of delivery of information about the defeat of the target.
