FIELD: safety systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the management of road vehicles and concerns the safety of the movement of vehicles. Method of automated warning of drivers of vehicles in especially dangerous parts of the road consists in the fact that along the edges of the road perpendicular to the direction of movement of the vehicle there is a system of sensors of two types associated with an electronic computing device (ECD). Distance from the vehicle to the upstream flow on both traffic lanes is calculated in ECD, as well as length in front of the flow, the time required to complete the overtaking, that this vehicle will overtake at a speed greater than the speed of the attendant flow by a certain amount. Also, the decision is made in the ECD on the impossibility of making a maneuver, which will be reported to the monitored vehicle by means of a light indication.

EFFECT: improved traffic safety is achieved by alerting drivers to the possibility/impossibility of committing an overt maneuver.
