FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the production of fiberboards. Composition for the production of fibreboards based on aminoformaldehyde resins includes a formaldehyde scavenger-guanylurea sulfate with a mass fraction of 2–4 % for absolutely dry substances. Scavenger is a product of dicyandiamide and sulfuric acid synthesis at a molecular ratio of reagents of 1:0.2–1:0.6 with a pH value of 3.5–5.5.
EFFECT: release of formaldehyde from fibreboards is reduced.
