FIELD: glass; mineral and slag wool.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for manufacturing a coated article for use in a window. Method comprises providing a coated article comprising a glass substrate having a low-emissivity coating, comprising at least one silver-containing layer placed directly on and in contact with a zinc oxide-containing contact layer which absorbs ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Coating comprises a dielectric layer placed between the zinc oxide-containing contact layer and the glass substrate and an upper dielectric layer placed over the silver-containing layer so that the silver-containing layer is placed between the upper dielectric layer and the glass substrate. Direction of UV radiation from at least one UV radiation source to the coating and for exposing the coating to UV radiation realize to reduce the specific surface resistance of the coating and/or increase the transmittance of visible light by the coating. Coated article with a visible light transmittance of at least about 50% after said exposure is obtained.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving electrical, optical and/or thermal insulation properties of the coating and, therefore, the coated article.
