FIELD: lighting engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a flat lighting device comprising solid state light sources, and more particularly to a flat lamp. Claimed lighting device comprises a solid-state light source, a carrier on which the solid-state light source and the connecting element are disposed, having a fixed position relative to the carrier, for mechanically and electrically connecting the lighting device to the cartridge. Moreover, said carrier has a relatively large front side as compared with the side of its edge, so that some of the heat generated by the light source is transferred to the carrier. Solid-state light source is located on the front side of the carrier. Lighting device also comprises a lid member disposed on a carrier and disposed in the same plane as the carrier, whereby the light source is disposed between the carrier and the light-transmitting part of the lid member. In this case, said lid member includes a light-transmitting part fencing a carrier that is disposed in front of the solid-state light source and its function is to output light through said light-transmitting part. Between the carrier and the lid member, there is a thermal interface, wherein the lid member has an outer surface that is a portion of the outer surface of the lighting device, and has an inner surface opposite to the outer surface and in thermal contact with the front side of the carrier, so that a thermal interface is formed. Cover member, said light transmitting part and said connecting member provide an entire outer surface of the illuminating device, jointly enclosing the carrier and the light source, and the thermal interface is designed to transfer through it a large part of the heat transferred to the carrier from the light source.
