FIELD: motors and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: body (5a) of a casing for fan casing (5) in jet engine (3) is formed by using a composite material of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic. Metal rings (5b, 5c) are appropriately attached to a leading edge and trailing edge of body (5a) of the casing. Metal rings (5b, 5c) are electrically connected by conducting cable (5d). Both metal rings (5b, 5c) and conducting cable (5d) form a lightning current path.

EFFECT: functioning of the cylindrical case as a lightning current path is achieved when a lightning struck the aircraft, even when it is created using a composite material with high electrical resistance, and the jet engine in which it is used.
