FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aircraft position determining method. To identify location of aircraft in Cartesian coordinate system, notches of directional angle are made from first measuring point with known coordinates and of angle from second measuring point with known coordinates, subsequent processing of external information is carried out by solving geometric problem of intersection of vertical half-plane, passing through first measuring point, straight, circular cone and sphere with centers in second measuring point. Coordinates of aircraft are identified in a certain way.

EFFECT: increase in accuracy of identification of coordinates of aircraft with minimal information costs.
