FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in the radar's power supply equipment. Voltage regulator contains a power series circuit from the regulating element and an energy storage throttle connected between the potential input terminal and one of the output terminals, the control unit that input is connected to the output of the stabilizer, and the output to the control input of the regulating element, a diode switching element connected between the connection point of the control element and the energy storage choke and the other output terminal, and an output capacitor connected between the two output terminals. Increase in the efficiency of the stabilizer is achieved by a new technology for performing a switching element, based on a diode solid structure with an area of the working surface proportional to the product of the constant structure coefficient, the rated load current and the ratio of the closed and open states of the regulating element.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the voltage regulator from the power supply equipment of the landing radar.
