FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: independent power supply system comprises a solar battery, an energy storage device, a charge-discharge device and a load consisting of one or several voltage stabilisers with electric energy consumers connected to their ends. The system is featured by the usage of a bidirectional voltage converter as the charge-discharge device comprising two key elements only. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that functions of the charge and discharge device are performed by the bidirectional electrically-symmetrical inverting voltage converter, i.e. input and output may be interchanged depending on the direction of energy transmission.
EFFECT: minimising power equipment for the charge and discharge device, implementing the algorithm of maximum power takeoff from the solar battery and excluding transient processes such as voltage loss at the output busbar at the change of its operation modes and preserving power supply at the system output only from the solar battery when the charge and discharge device fails.
