FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of radar and can be used to recognize radar objects. Inventions can be used in radar stations of a circular survey (CS RS). Result is achieved through the use of recognition thresholds that take into account the additional recognition feature – the correlation coefficient between the counts of the echo. In this case, the two-dimensional probability distribution density is used to derive the threshold values, taking into account the statistical relationships between the recognition features and the reference REA values of the targets. Reference values of the correlation coefficients are also used, which depend on the temporal separation of the amplitude samples, information from which comes from the additionally introduced fourth RS output.

EFFECT: increase in the probabilities of correct recognition of radar objects and the stability of these values.
