SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a blow dryer containing a handle; housing including a fluid outlet and an outlet for the main fluid stream; fan assembly for creating a flow of fluid through a dryer, dryer comprising a fluid flow path extending from the fluid inlet through which the fluid stream enters the dryer to the fluid outlet, and a channel for the main fluid flow extending from the inlet for the main fluid stream to the outlet for the main fluid flow; heater for heating the main flow of fluid drawn through the inlet for the main fluid stream; and nozzle adapted to be fixed to the body, nozzle comprising an inlet for the fluid of the nozzle for receiving the main fluid stream from the outlet for the main fluid flow and an outlet for the fluid of the nozzle for discharging the main fluid stream, wherein the nozzle configuration prevents fluid from flowing out of the fluid flow outlet. Invention also relates to a nozzle for such a hair dryer, wherein the nozzle is adapted to be attached to the hub body and includes an inlet for the fluid of the nozzle for receiving fluid flow from the outlet for the main fluid stream, and an outlet for the fluid of the nozzle for discharging the main fluid stream, the nozzle configuration preventing the flow of fluid from the fluid outlet.
