FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering construction and can be used as a relief water disposal unit in the coastal part of the body of a ground retaining structure for passing floods of rare occurrence, if there is a main spillway in the structure of the water disposal unit. Light weight flood relief water disposal unit for ground water dam includes a ground eroded insert, a protective coating of geosynthetic material with perforation 9 filled with fine gravel 10 and porous concrete 11, geomembrane 12 with ribs of stiffness of a rectangular profile, which is fixed by metal anchors with polyethylene liner 14. Height of the eroded soil insert is determined by the following formula: Hins=∇HWL – ∇PWL – a, where Hins – height of the washable insert, m; ∇HWL – a mark of the highest water level, m; ∇PWL – a mark of a permanent water level, m; a – exceeding the ∇HWL mark above the top of the crest of the washable insert, m.
EFFECT: use of this technical solution will improve the reliability of the operation of the relief water disposal unit and will ensure the safe passage of ultra-high water flow in the period of floods and floods, and also to reduce the cost of the structure in comparison with concrete hydraulic structures.
