SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and the chemical-pharmaceutical industry, in particular to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a tablet, having a neuroprotective activity, and a method for preparing a pharmaceutical composition. Claimed pharmaceutical composition contains 6-methyl-2-ethylpyridin-3-ol salt of (2S)-2-acetaminopentanedioic acid as the active ingredient, as well as auxiliary substances such as microcrystalline cellulose, monohydrate lactose, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide colloid, and may additionally contain an enteric coating.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to prepare a pharmaceutical composition of 6-methyl-2-ethylpyridine-3-ol salt of (2S)-2-acetaminopentanedioic acid in the form of tablets, characterized by high pharmacological activity and safety.
