Device (220) is configured to interact with the chamber (262) for the channels communication through the reciprocating pump (250) fluid, includes the spring holding plate (221) and plurality of retaining protrusions (223), passing substantially from the spring retaining plate (221) first side. Each of the retaining protrusions (223) plurality includes having the outer surface (223s) upper portion (223u). Each of the outer surfaces (223s) shape and the inner surface (261) shape of the fluid communication channel (262) communicating with the device (220) for the valve resting and retention, substantially correspond to the shape of at least a portion of the surface of revolution formed by the curve line rotation about the coplanar axis of rotation. Valve resting and retention device (220) is configured to be held within the chamber (262) for the channels fluid communicating using the inner surface (261) shape.
EFFECT: reducing the effect of high stresses concentration associated with the reciprocating pumps internal geometric configuration.
