FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel pump has housing 12 with delivery chamber 20 provided with a number of passageways 16 for plungers. Plunger 14 is received in each fuel passageway 16 for permitting reciprocation. Rotatable cam 60 sets plungers 14 in reciprocation and in seats for supplying fuel through distributing openings 70 provided in plunger passageways 16 in distributing outlet openings 45. According to one of embodiments the plunger passageways are inclined to each other and are brought radially into the central coaxial opening 104. The rotatable cam is ring-shaped and sets plungers 16 in motion. In central coaxial opening 104 is plate valve 100 for supplying and discharging fuel from delivery chamber 20. Pressure regulator 20 has opening 162 for fuel inflow. The opening and tape valve 100 are axially alined. The opening is overlapped with plate valve 100 when it is in open position.
