FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the applied physics, namely to the substances physical parameters determining, monitoring and measuring devices, and is intended for the kinematic viscosity non-contact measurement of the high-temperature metallic melts samples, made, for example, on the basis of iron, by the cylindrical crucible with a melt sample torsional oscillations attenuation parameters recording and subsequent determination. Additional fields of application are metallurgy and training procedures. Claimed device for the metallic melts samples viscosity non-contact determination is characterized in that the torsional oscillations sensor is made in the form of generator and a unit having the complex electrical resistor function, comprising two elements jointly capable of the suspension system torsion oscillations non-contact conversion into the electrical signal, the first element has the rotor function, second element has the stator function, the first element is fixed to the elastic thread, the second one is locked inside the above electric furnace opposite to the first one. In addition, the generator is made as modulating pulsed or harmonic, and the unit is made differential in the form of the variable capacity electric capacitor. In addition, the elements are made in the form of at least two coaxial half-cylinders or plates with the unequal area, and the elements geometric centers are located opposite to each other.
EFFECT: expansion in the device functionality, and also increase in the metallic melts samples viscosity determining reliability and accuracy.
