FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely a bipolar battery, which includes several modular battery cells. Each of the plurality of modular battery cells includes a current collector plate including a first base surface and a second base surface that are disposed in a layerwise packing direction of a plurality of individual battery cells. Elementary battery includes a separator impregnated with the electrolytic solution, wherein the elementary battery is disposed on the first major surface, the sealing element surrounding the periphery of the elementary battery, and also the sealing element is in close contact with the current collector plates adjacent to the sealing member in the direction of the layered packing, by a pressing force from the fastening device.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the bipolar battery by means of preventing the occurrence of a short circuit, as well as a decrease in the electrical resistance due to increased contact area of at least either the positive electrode or the negative electrode with the conductive plate, is a technical result of the invention.
