FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain welding of various thickness parts with a thickness ratio of 1:10 or more, for example, steel sheets and profiles. Inductor in the form of a flat inductor is placed on the side of the thinner part at the point of the required welded joint. Thinner piece over the entire thickness and a layer of a thicker part in contact with it to a depth equal to the thickness of the thinner part are heated to the melting point. There is a crushing effect of vibration from the side of the thinner part in the point of the required weld joint. Device includes a housing in the form of a hood, in the lower part of which is placed a flat inductor. On the coil axis there is a rod, which is connected with the source of vibration, located under the arch of the body, which provides influence on the parts to be welded. From the lower end of the inductor there is an annular gasket made of heat-insulating material.
EFFECT: inventions provide increased manufacturability, reduced energy consumption for heating, and increased productivity of the welding process.
