FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for welding, in particular, a method for induction welding, and a unit for implementation of the method. The method is implemented by welding two rigid parts containing a thermoplastic material and provided with corresponding weldable surfaces, including: inserting an insert between the weldable surfaces of the two parts, wherein said insert has a thickness of 0.3 to 5 mm, supplying heat by means of the insert, wherein the insert during welding is moved in the direction of welding relative to the welded parts. The insert therein comprises an induction-sensitive material, and the heat of the insert is supplied by generating a magnetic field by means of at least one induction coil. The unit comprises a thermoplastic material and has corresponding weldable surfaces, including: a support for retaining the two welded parts, a console with a heating insert at the end section thereof, with a thickness of 0.3 to 5 mm, configured to be inserted between the welded surfaces of the two parts, and an apparatus for generating the heat of the insert. The insert is therein configured to be moved during welding in the direction of welding relative to the welded parts, wherein the apparatus for generating heat constitutes at least one induction coil, and the insert comprises an induction-sensitive material.
EFFECT: creation of a method for welding displaying good operating characteristics and preventing any deterioration in the quality of the assembled parts as a result of separation and/or decompression, and providing welding of rigid parts and all types of thermoplastic materials, a possibility of using reduced power of induction, controlling the welding temperature, welding large-sized parts and/or parts with complex geometry, and reduced consumption of energy and materials.
