SUBSTANCE: fan assembly for creating an air current and including air outlet (14) mounted on stand (12). Stand (12) includes base (38, 40) and body (42) tiltable relative to base (38, 40). Each of base (38, 40) and body (42) has outer surfaces shaped so that adjoining portions of outer surfaces (102, 160) are substantially flush, when body (42) is in the untilted position. Stand comprises device (52, 56) for creating an air flow through the fan assembly, wherein the air outlet comprises a nozzle mounted on the stand, wherein the nozzle comprising mouth (26) for emitting the air flow, wherein the nozzle extending about opening (24) through which air from outside the nozzle is drawn by the air flow emitted from the mouth.
